Andreu Greses is a Spanish inline downhill rider with roots in Alboraya (Valencia). He first discovered the sport in Benasque, where the Pyrenean terrain shaped his style—clean lines, cool head, and a love for controlled slides. He later honed his riding after moving to Madrid, home to a strong downhill community, especially longboard, which helped him refine speed management and race tactics.
His contribution to the sport is twofold. He invented the gloveslide (glove-assisted slide) as a braking and emergency-control maneuver, and he brought a more aerodynamic tuck to inline, adapted from the skateboarders he rides with. Both ideas spread quickly through the scene and define his signature: speed with precise control and real-world safety.
Competitively, Andreu is a multi-time world medalist: bronze in 2019 and a double gold in Argentina in 2022. He has raced on demanding stages such as Sochi 2018 —including the Olympic bobtrack—, the legendary Vulcan (Romania) course where he hit 117 km/h, and some of the fastest tracks in Turkey. Beyond podiums, he’s driven by the idea of putting his home region on the map and pushing Spain’s freeride and downhill community forward.
A self-confessed drift addict, he lives to slide; he jokes that if his legs ever say “enough,” he’ll buy a drift car. Until then, he’ll keep charging downhill and sharing knowledge so inline downhill stays more accessible, safer, and—why not— even more fun.
