From Idea to Podiums

Designed by skaters, refined through countless prototypes, and validated by podiums.

Born in Germany and proven on the world stage, Phoenix and ERA deliver elite grip, roll, and stability. A skater-led project began seven years ago to rethink speed wheels. After Powerslide joined the effort, the team built a dedicated factory and scaled testing. Winter 2024/25 trials led by Felix Rijhnen produced the first ERA wheel. Following European Cup wins and a full production reset before Euros, the improved Phoenix and ERA were ready for Worlds.

Worlds Debut: Immediate Impact

Many athletes raced Phoenix & ERA for the first time at the World Championships in Beidaihe, China — and results followed fast: the first world title in the 200 m dual time trial, a clean 1-2-3 in the Senior Men’s 1 km, and 20+ medals from sprints to long distance.

84A vs 86A — which should I pick?

arrow right

84A (Medium): more mechanical grip and comfort on cooler or slick surfaces; extra bite in corners.

86A (Hard): higher top-end roll on warm, smooth tracks; resists deformation in powerful pushes.

Quick picks: Grip-limited day → 84A. Hot/fast track → 86A. Mixed conditions → start 84A, switch to 86A as temps rise.

Suggested pairings: Max grip ERA 84A • Max roll Phoenix 86A.
